Provides human rights training, technical support, and policy and advocacy services tailored specifically for the Pacific region. Based in Suva, Fiji, RRRT has programmes across the Pacific Islands, with partners including governments, regional and civil society organisations.
RRRT is guided by the Pacific Leaders’ vision in the Pacific Plan of 2005, to “seek a Pacific region that is respected for the quality of its governance, the sustainable management of its resources, the full observance of democratic values and for its defence and promotion of human rights”.
RRRT is a Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) programme under the Social Resources Division, with core support from the New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID) and Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).
